Overall ScoreSynopsis:

Pursuit Force’s biggest faults are the graphics, some aspects of the gameplay, and the shortness of the main story mode. For a first attempt this game is a decent offering, but they should have spent more time in development polishing some of its apparent flaws before release.
Full Review:

Pursuit Force is a first of its kind on the PSP. A young cop is the front of a new police force named Pursuit Force. They train him how to jump incredible distances from car to car, from boat to helicopter and from just about any moving object you can think of to another. They also train him how to use weapons more effectively. Your character has to take down five gangs for control of the city. They gangs are called MAFIA, VIXENS, COMMANDOS, KILLER66 and CONVICTS. Each gang has their own style and turf.

Considering that Pursuit Force has such a fresh idea, such as jumping from car to car, it works surprisingly well. Action is never ending and it looks very cool jumping from a bike onto a huge lorry. Shooting is pretty basic but otherwise fine. However I was disappointed at how incredibly tough some of the mission were. There was not a great deal of balance to the game, and at times some missions were so tough I felt like chucking my PSP out the window. But of course I didn’t chuck my PSP out the window because then I would just have to go outside and get it.

Graphically Pursuit Force was an incredibly huge let down. The graphics were very jaggy, and not smooth. The character models were unrealistic and didn’t suit the gaming environment. And when it came right down to it, Pursuit Force was just hard on the eyes, and not pleasant to look at.

Once you complete career mode all you have left to play is Race and Time Trial. You can get a decent amount of replay out of those sections. Then you must complete the gallery. Given the multiple options of play, it should keep you busy for a while offering a decent amount of replay.

When it comes right down to it, Pursuit Force’s biggest faults are the graphics, some aspects of the gameplay, and the shortness of the main story mode. For a first attempt this game is a decent offering, but they should have spent more time in development polishing some of its apparent flaws before release.
